Our plant of the moment: Homegrown Pieris
Superb evergreen shrubs with brilliant pink/red young foliage, turning pink, creamy-white and then green as it matures. Every Spring you can expect their vibrant pink leaves. Large pendulous clusters of white bell shaped flowers also appear throughout the Spring. Homegrown at our Little Hay Nursery, you can be sure these shrubs are of the highest quality. Plant in a pot or in the ground in a partially shaded area.
Things to do in the garden in April
Spring is upon us and we have longer days to look forward to. Of course, we will still be expecting plenty of April showers and overnight frosts, but we can look forward to filling our baskets, pots and borders with colourful Summer flowers soon enough. Don't forget to make a start on your Spring lawn care programme, plant shrubs, trees and roses while the ground is still moist and freshen up your compost in containers ready for Summer bedding plants.
