TOP TEN GARDEN JOBS FOR THIS MONTH

 

Start weeding beds and borders, preparing the soil for new plants

 

Freshen up compost and begin planting perennials and shrubs

 

Mow the lawn on dry days, but remember not to cut it too short while there’s still a risk of frost

 

Prune back any winter flowering perennials which are fading and tidy up the Spring/Summer ones

 

Plant your herb gardens and plan your fruit and veg patches

 

Evaluate your houseplant care routine as the weather gets warmer and we turn off central heating

 

Deadhead winter pansies and violas. with a little care they will last another month
