National Children's Gardening Week

28th May - 5th June 2022

To celebrate National Children's Gardening Week 2022, we are holding a drawing competition and a scavenger hunt for you to take home or fill in right here at Pacific. It is so important for children to get out in the gardens and enjoy nature.

Here's 5 reasons why gardening is good for children:

  1. Provides them with exercise and fresh air.

  2. Develop gross and fine motor skills using tools, planting seeds and more.

  3. Learn about the seasons and weather and how they change through the year.

  4. Learn shapes and colours, smells and textures - great sensory development.

  5. Teaches responsibility and patience - learning what plants need to grow.

Prizes are available to all those children who complete and hand in the Scavenger Hunt, and prizes will be awarded for the top three drawings. Please ensure you hand in your completed activities by the end of the day on Saturday 4th June to be entered into the competition and recieve your prize!
