Our chosen charity 2019 - The James Brindley Foundation
Many of you will recall the motiveless and tragic murder of James Brindley, in Aldridge village on June 23rd, 2017. The shock of this outrageous and appalling incident, has not only affected the Brindley family and their friends, but also the local community, including all of us here at Pacific.
The James Brindley Foundation has been launched to support and fund The James Brindley Full Circle Programme - an educational and assessment programme, developed to address the root causes of anti-social behaviours, such as family dysfunction, social isolation and mental illness and to equip children, young people and their families, with the tools and self-confidence, to make well informed, positive life choices, when faced with day to day difficult situations. The aim is to save lives.
Each year we select a charity to work with and focus all of our fundraising efforts on for a twelve month period. James’ Mum Beverley and sister Charlotte (founders of the charity along with Dad - Mark) have both worked for Pacific, so it was an easy choice to work with them, as our new charity partner and to support them in their efforts to prevent further tragedies and create a lasting legacy for good, in James’ name.
You will see collection tins at all of our till points and we will keep you informed, of any events that either we or the Foundation organise. Please give generously and help us to support this perfect opportunity to make a positive difference in the local community and wider society!
